The Linux player is **stable and available**. Public package links are **coming soon**. [Contact Loopvew](/contact) for the official package, a supported configuration, and build-specific instructions.

## Before installation

Record the distribution and release, CPU architecture, desktop environment, display server, graphics hardware, and drivers. Include intended resolution and media formats. Confirm the appropriate package and dependencies for that configuration.

Playback needs a working display session. Do not assume a headless background service is equivalent to a desktop player, or that ARM architecture support automatically includes every single-board computer.

## Download status

**Public download link: coming soon.** Contact the team for the official package, dependencies, and installation instructions for your system. No unverified shell command or third-party package is provided here.

## Install, pair, and publish

1. Confirm the complete OS and hardware configuration with the support team.
2. Follow the approved package instructions and open the player in the intended display session.
3. Sign in to the [Loopvew CMS](https://app.loopvew.com/) and register the screen with its pairing code.
4. Publish representative media and test decoding, orientation, audio, and output resolution.
5. Configure startup according to the supplied build instructions. Restart the machine and verify playback recovery.

## Validate the deployment image

Record the known-working OS, drivers, package version, and display settings. Test updates on a pilot device before distributing an image to more screens.

Check storage growth and recovery after an interrupted network connection. Test cached files separately from live websites. Verify thermal and graphics behavior under the actual content load rather than relying on nominal output resolution.

## If setup does not work

Record the package version, distribution, architecture, graphics driver, session type, and the point of failure. Share relevant logs with [support](/support) after removing secrets and account tokens.

See the [Linux platform overview](/platforms/linux) for deployment considerations. Raspberry Pi compatibility requires separate board validation.
