Dayparting
Dayparting means splitting the day into time slots (dayparts) and showing different content in each, such as a breakfast menu in the morning and a dinner menu at night. The screens switch automatically on schedule.
Dayparting, explained
Dayparting is the reason signage beats print in restaurants: the same screen sells coffee at 8 am and dessert at 8 pm.
Examples
- Restaurants. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night menus.
- Retail. Commuter offers in the morning, family promotions at the weekend.
- Offices. Welcome messages in the morning, KPIs during the day.
