What we collect on loopvew.com, why, and how to change your cookie choice.

The short version

  • You can read the whole site without accepting any cookies.
  • We only load Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity after you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Decline, they never load.
  • We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for basic visit counts. It sets no cookies and doesn’t identify you.
  • We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
  • You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer.

What we collect

When you browse the site

Every website receives some technical data with each request: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for, and the page that linked you here. Our hosting and network providers (Microsoft Azure and Cloudflare) use it to serve pages, keep the site secure and stop abuse.

Cloudflare Web Analytics gives us aggregate numbers — page views, referrers, countries and page speed. It runs without cookies and without fingerprinting, so it can’t follow you between visits or sites.

Only if you accept analytics cookies

  • Google Analytics 4 measures how visitors find and use the site: pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (city level), device and browser, and the site that referred you. Google’s advertising features are switched off, and ad-related signals are always sent as denied.
  • Microsoft Clarity shows us how pages are used through heatmaps and session replays: clicks, scrolling and mouse movement. Clarity masks sensitive text you type into forms.

We use this to find pages that confuse people, fix broken flows, and decide what to improve next.

When you contact us

If you email us or send the support form, we receive what you send — usually your name, email address and message — and use it only to reply and help you.

Cookies and local storage

Name Set by Purpose Expires Needs your consent
blume-consent (local storage) loopvew.com Remembers your cookie choice Until you clear it No — strictly necessary
blume-theme (local storage) loopvew.com Remembers light or dark mode Until you clear it No — strictly necessary
cf_clearance Cloudflare Set only if Cloudflare shows a security check Up to 1 year No — strictly necessary
_ga, _ga_* Google Analytics Distinguishes visitors and sessions 2 years Yes
_clck, _clsk Microsoft Clarity Links page views into a session and a returning visitor 1 year / 1 day Yes

Microsoft may also set its own cookies on clarity.ms domains while Clarity runs. Nothing in the “Yes” rows is set until you click Accept.

Changing your choice

Use Cookie settings in the site footer to open the banner again. If you withdraw consent after accepting, the page reloads and analytics stays off from then on. You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser at any time, which brings the banner back.
