Samsung SSSP

SSSP (Samsung Smart Signage Platform) is the Tizen-based software platform built into Samsung's commercial displays. It lets a signage player run directly on the screen's System on Chip, with no external media player.

Samsung SSSP, explained

SSSP is why Samsung commercial displays can act as complete signs straight out of the box.

Why it matters

  • Commercial models only. Consumer Samsung TVs also run Tizen, but they are not SSSP signage displays and can’t install signage players the same way.
  • Check the generation. SSSP versions differ by model year, which affects supported features.
  • Built-in controls. On supported models, the platform exposes power, brightness and volume controls to signage software.
