Video Wall

A video wall is a group of displays, or LED modules, tiled together so they act as one large canvas. Content is either stretched across every panel as one image or split so each panel shows its own coordinated piece.

Video wall, explained

Video walls turn a lobby, stage or control room into a statement, and they are the usual answer when one screen isn’t big enough.

Why it matters

  • Hardware choice. Tiled LCD panels are cheaper per square metre and bright; LED walls are seamless and scale to any size.
  • Driving the wall. Either one powerful player outputs to every panel, or each panel runs its own synchronised player.
  • Content resolution. A 2 × 2 wall of 1080p panels is effectively a 3840 × 2160 canvas, so content must be made at that size.
