Wayfinding

Digital wayfinding uses screens to help people find their way through a building or campus, with maps, directional arrows and directories. Unlike printed signs, directions can be updated instantly when rooms, events or routes change.

Tips

  • Place screens at decision points: entrances, lift lobbies and corridor junctions.
  • Orient the map to the viewer, so “up” means straight ahead.
  • Keep it glanceable: large arrows, short labels, high contrast.
