How to Set Up Your First Screen

Getting your first digital sign live takes about ten minutes. Install the player, pair your screen, build a playlist, and publish — that’s it.

Step 1 — Install the player

Get the Loopvew player for your device. Loopvew runs on Android, Windows, Linux, Samsung Tizen commercial displays and LG webOS. Public download links are coming soon — the downloads page shows how to get the official installation source for your platform.

Step 2 — Pair the screen

Open the player on the screen. It shows a 6-digit pairing code.

1. Sign in to the Loopvew CMS on a computer or phone.
2. Open the Screens tab and select Register Screen.
3. Enter a screen name, the pairing code, and the screen’s time zone and location.
4. Save. The screen appears in the Screens table as online.

Keep pairing codes private — anyone with the code could link the screen to their account.

Step 3 — Upload content

Open the Library tab, select Upload Media, and drag in your images and videos. Export files at the screen’s native resolution — usually 1920×1080 for a landscape Full HD screen.

Step 4 — Build a playlist

Create a playlist and add your media in the order you want it to play. Give each item a duration — 8 to 15 seconds suits most slides. Add a live widget such as a clock or weather to keep the loop fresh.

Step 5 — Publish

Assign the playlist to your screen and publish. The player downloads the content and starts playing automatically. From now on, any change you publish reaches the screen as soon as it syncs — and cached content keeps playing if the network drops.
